Hotel Culinary Specialist

Embassy Suites Tigard is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented individual to plan and prepare various food items and meals for our restaurant and catered functions. As a Cook, you will be responsible for overseeing food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality. You will also ensure food deliveries are timely, accurate, and meet presentation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare various food items and meals for the restaurant and catered functions.
• Oversee food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality.
• Ensure food deliveries are timely, accurate, and meet presentation standards.
• Assist with quality, cleanliness, and organization of the restaurant and kitchen.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and receiving of all food and beverage items.
• Maintain and enforce sanitation and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen area.
• Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.

Requirements:

• Previous food handling or prep/line experience is required.
• You must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Permit.
• Applicants must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
