Job Description

Job Summary:

The Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing will be part of the Houston campus faculty and will hold responsibilities for teaching in Houston, Dallas, and Denton. The successful applicant will have demonstrated clinical expertise in advanced practice nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach in the Master's program, as well as at the undergraduate and doctoral levels as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for nursing programs.
  • Conduct research and publish scholarly work in the field of nursing.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to students.
  • Participate in departmental and university service activities.

Requirements:

  • Terminal degree in nursing.
  • Current RN and APRN licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner or eligibility for both in the State of Texas.
  • Experience in clinical practice and teaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Leadership experience in nursing education or practice.
