Job SummaryWatkins Distributing, a family-owned beverage distribution company, is seeking a skilled Payroll/HR Generalist to oversee payroll and HR functions for a bi-state wholesaler with 350 employees.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process employee payroll accurately, including calculations, deductions, and withholdings, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Manage garnishments and maintain payroll records, adhering to tax regulations.
  • Collect and verify timekeeping information, resolving payroll-related queries for all employees across Idaho and Montana.
  • Manage various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and terminations, ensuring a smooth employee lifecycle.
  • Assist with benefits administration and performance management, promoting employee well-being and company success.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a multi-state payroll clerk, with a strong understanding of payroll and HR regulations.
  • Familiarity with payroll management systems, particularly Paylocity software, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on maintaining confidentiality and trust.
