Psychiatric Technician

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Contra Costa County Regional Medical Center in Martinez. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will provide high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric nursing care services to patients, including administering medication and facilitating therapy sessions
- Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans, working collaboratively with medical and mental health staff
- Monitor patient behavior and report observations to healthcare providers
- Transport patients within the hospital and to appointments outside the hospital
- Administer medications and perform basic life support procedures
- Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the State of California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate issued by the American Heart Association or valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate issued by the American Red Cross
- Ability to pass a Pharmacology Test administered by the County
- Ability to obtain certification in Professional Assault Response Training (PART) within the first 6 months of employment
