Job Summary:

The Baker at Golden Corral is responsible for preparing a variety of freshly baked products, including yeast rolls, cakes, pies, and specialty desserts. This role requires attention to detail, a focus on quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Production:
    • Prepare hand-made yeast rolls, cakes, pies, and specialty desserts to meet production needs.
    • Prepare breakfast bakery items on weekends to meet production needs.
    • Complete use and following of the buffet production system to ensure quality and shelf life compliance.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure that every product in the bakery is always fresh, tasty, visually appealing, and hot, when appropriate.
    • Maintain quality by preparing all products following Golden Corral recipes and standards.
    • Maintain proper portioning and recipe yields.
    • Follow the Bakery and Dessert Café Production Guide.
  • Guest Service:
    • Be friendly and courteous to guests and assist them with baked goods.
    • Know and follow position responsibilities as they relate to just-in-time delivery.
  • Cleanliness:
    • Perform duty roster and meet cleanliness, service, and quality standards.
    • Follow local health department laws.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior experience in a bakery or food production environment is preferred.
