About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICU/Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Cynet Health in Prescott, Arizona. As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and adaptable healthcare environment, providing diverse patient care experiences across different units.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work within an extensive float pool covering ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU across multiple campuses.
  • Manage inpatients, including those holding in the Emergency Department.
  • Handle a mix of patient types, including geriatric, orthopedic, and post-procedure patients such as post-MI and post Cardiac Cath.
  • Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin.
  • Work with nurse aids present in all settings. Charge nurses are available but will not take patient assignments.
  • Utilize CPAP or BiPAP equipment, and manage CPAP and Heated High Flow in the PCU.
  • Read and interpret monitor strips with support from monitor technicians in PCU and MedSurg Tele.
  • Assigned shifts are 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am with advance schedule publication and some flexibility expected.
  • Participate in the standby program where excessive staffing may result in on-call status with potential call-in requirements.
  • Notification of unit assignments will occur two hours prior to the shift.
  • Dress code is solid color professional scrubs; navy scrubs aligning with updated guidelines.
  • Orientations include a general hospital session and specific unit health center orientation.
  • Participate in a manageable distance assignment between campuses with expected transitions when necessary.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU setting.
  • At least 1 year of experience in ICU setting.
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam.
