Job Description

This position involves floating to various departments to provide patient care, which may include scheduling day-of-staffing, multiple assignment locations within a single shift, or seasonal staffing patterns. You will work under the direction of a clinical manager or designee and participate as a member of the healthcare team. Your primary function is to be available and flexible to meet the needs of our patients and organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate awareness of and support organization departmental and operating unit goals through participation in continuous quality improvement and departmental activities.
  • Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
  • Incorporate the professional practice model into care delivery.
  • Plan and coordinate nursing care and clinical decisions using the best available evidence.
Licensing and Certifications

The ideal candidate will have a current nursing license in the designated state of employment and basic life support certification. Additionally, advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS - AHA) certifications are required based on specialty assignment.

Education and Experience

We require one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
