Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Covenant Hobbs Hospital. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

• Filling and dispensing unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments.
• Triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).
• Providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Collaborating with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• New Mexico Pharmacy Technician certification from the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of one year of pharmacy practice experience in an integrated health system, with current PTCB certification, or two years of hospital pharmacy experience without PTCB certification.

• Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.
• Specialty certification in sterile compounding, where applicable.
• Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR).
