Job Summary

Chimes is seeking a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team as a Crisis Prevention Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing behavior intervention plans to support individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and analyses to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors
  • Develop and implement function-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that include behavior reduction targets, skill acquisition goals, and teaching procedures
  • Train and oversee staff on the implementation of BIPs, including proactive and reactive strategies and teaching procedures
  • Collect and analyze BIP data to inform treatment decisions and adjust plans as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and other stakeholders to support students with behavioral needs
  • Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide Behavior Management Policies and training
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Special Education, ABA, or related human services field
  • Current certification as a BCBA from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and in good standing with the BACB
  • Licensure through the State of Maryland Health Department
  • Certified as a BCBA for a minimum of 2 years
  • At least 1 year of experience working with clients who exhibit maladaptive behaviors
