South Region OPS Med Groups is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Harlingen, TX. As a member of our OptumCare organization, you'll be part of a clinician-led care team that's changing the face of healthcare.

About the Role

We're looking for a dedicated healthcare professional to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment. As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you'll work closely with our primary care physicians, hospitalists, and network of employed/contracted sub-specialists to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary and specialty care to patients in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough physical exams, diagnose conditions, and prescribe treatments as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices

Requirements
  • Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Current licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board
  • Valid DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • 1+ year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
  • A working understanding and support of a managed care environment
