The Breastfeeding Consultant role at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled professional to provide expert lactation support and patient education services. With a focus on delivering exceptional patient care, this position plays a critical role in the hospital's commitment to leading medicine in Clear Lake and surrounding communities.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assess patient educational and lactation support needs, providing clinical guidance and resources to maternal patients across the entity and in the community.
- Develop and implement programs related to patient educational needs, including lactation support, and serve as a model for staff in effective communication and teaching techniques.
- Facilitate the planning, development, and implementation of prenatal and breastfeeding education classes, working closely with leadership to achieve these goals.
- RN-Temp - Registered Nurse - Temporary State Licensure within 60 days
- BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA)
- Magnet - ANCC Recognized Certification in a women's services specialty
- International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) preferred
- Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English necessary to perform job duties
$80,000 - $110,000 per year
