About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Critical Care Unit, where you will play a vital role in delivering specialized care to critically ill patients. As a Critical Care Specialist, you will utilize your expertise to develop and implement effective plans of care, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, incorporating medication administration, specimen collection, and other medical treatments as needed.
- Document patient care provided, maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, providing education and support to promote understanding and empowerment.
- Serve as a patient advocate, promoting physical and emotional well-being through empathetic and compassionate care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current state RN license
- Basic Life Support certification
- ACLS/PALS certification within six months of hire
- One year of experience preferred
