- Must hold a valid license and registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience post-licensure, specifically with patients facing mental health challenges, addiction, or substance use disorders
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing can be considered in lieu of the required clinical experience
- A Master's degree in nursing may also be accepted as a substitute for the clinical experience requirement
In the role of Psychiatric Registered Nurse 2, you will be responsible for delivering expert clinical guidance and training in psychiatric nursing practices. Additionally, you will oversee and administer nursing care to individuals experiencing mental health issues within facilities and programs governed by New York State.
Important Notes:- Failure to maintain the necessary license and/or registration may result in disciplinary action
- Exclusion from Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare lists could lead to employment termination
- Enrollment as a Medicare provider and obtaining a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number may be necessary
- Inability to bill through Medicare and Medicaid may result in job termination
