Part-Time Van Transporter

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Part-Time Van Transporter to join our team at ESS. As a vital member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely transporting students and personnel in a school van.
About the RoleThis part-time position is approximately 15-20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs. Our ideal candidate will have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license, three years of professional driving experience, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Responsibilities- Safety First: Know and obey all traffic laws, maintain a clean driving record, and perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe for operation.
- Effective Communication: Check work email regularly and communicate effectively with parents, principals, teachers, and other drivers to ensure smooth operations.
- Route Planning: Map out assigned routes efficiently, taking into account traffic patterns and road conditions to minimize delays.
- Incident Reporting: Submit timely incident and accident reports to the Supervisor of Transportation and Coordinator.
- Student Care: Assist children in and out of the van, secure their seats, and only discharge students at authorized stops to authorized parents or guardians.
- Maintenance and Cleaning: Ensure the van is clean and well-maintained, adhering to Bucks IU regulations and performing routine checks to prevent mechanical defects.
- Training and Development: Attend required training sessions assigned by the Supervisor of Transportation and stay up-to-date on policies and procedures.
- Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, CPR and First Aid certification, Pennsylvania State Police Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprinting, School Health Form, Pennsylvania Department of Education Form 6004, Valid PA driver's license, Three years of professional driving experience, Must reside in Bucks County, Motor Vehicle Report clear of violations.
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods, use hands frequently, walk, reach, talk, and hear; physically able to install/operate equipment needed for assigned route; ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer competitive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
