Position Overview: As a Manufacturing Metallurgist, you will be instrumental in ensuring adherence to client specifications. Your responsibilities will include reviewing technical documentation, performing metallurgical assessments, and maintaining comprehensive records, all while fostering a culture of quality and teamwork within the manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Document Analysis:
Conduct thorough reviews of client blueprints, specifications, and associated technical documents.

Adaptability and Responsiveness:
Adjust to evolving demands in a dynamic work environment.

Metallurgical Assessments:
Evaluate raw materials and generate reports to inform stakeholders regarding compliance, tracking, audits, and client approvals.

Testing and Certification:
Utilize equipment and systems to certify materials and products. Coordinate and issue reports for approvals and external audits.

Interdepartmental Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with all departments, including Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Sales. Engage with clients as needed to ensure quality standards and outcomes.

Compliance Audits:
Execute internal and external audits to verify adherence to standards.

Quality Assurance Policies:
Comprehend and comply with quality policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Metallurgical Knowledge:
Utilize scientific expertise to fulfill client specifications.

Detail-Oriented:
Maintain precision and accuracy in all tasks. Organized thinker and worker.

Strong Communication Skills:
Work collaboratively with colleagues and client representatives. Ensure clarity and follow-up.

Technologically Proficient:
Comfortable with computer systems, new equipment, and technologies.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in material science, metallurgy, or a related discipline.

3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance metallurgist role.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.

Knowledge of metallurgy, chemistry, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) is required, with a specific understanding of alloy materials and quality systems.
