Job Overview

The Construction Support Specialist collaborates closely with the Construction Crew Leader to execute essential tasks and projects within the construction division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the vehicle for daily operations based on assigned tasks, including loading materials as directed by the inventory coordinator.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Support the Crew Leader in the completion of various work assignments.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

· Mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in the field.

· Must obtain a D water or wastewater license within one year of employment, unless otherwise specified by management.

· Previous experience in a related utility field is preferred.

Language/Math/Reasoning Skills

· Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.

Computer Proficiency

· Basic computer skills, including email communication and record-keeping.

Physical Demands

· Engages in moderate physical activity, performing somewhat strenuous daily tasks of a primarily technical nature.

· Capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.

· Manual dexterity is required to handle items, work with fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.

Work Environment

  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions (e.g., rain, sun, snow, wind).
  • Availability for on-call work may be required.

· Exposure to loud noise levels (e.g., equipment operation, construction activities).
