Position Overview:


The Evening Public Area Cleaner is tasked with ensuring that all public spaces within the hotel are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and appeal, adhering to company protocols and safety regulations. This role requires availability during evenings and weekends.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cleanliness standards and practices.
  • Engage with guests and colleagues in a courteous and service-oriented manner, maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ensure regular attendance in accordance with company standards, with a flexible schedule to meet hotel needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the designated uniform and name tag.
  • Adhere to all company policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate effectively with supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned storage areas and linen closets, reporting any deficiencies immediately.
  • Ensure adequate supplies and amenities are available in public areas.
  • Manage waste disposal in various hotel locations as necessary.
  • Deliver requested items to guests in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in public areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and glass cleaning.
  • Report lost and found items to the appropriate supervisor without delay.
  • Regularly clean public restrooms and employee facilities.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Report maintenance needs and deficiencies in the work area promptly.
  • Support room attendants as needed to ensure efficient completion of their tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all hotel elevators and employee areas.
  • Practice safe work habits to prevent injuries and ensure the safety of self and others.
  • Complete all assigned cleaning tasks in guest rooms during evening shifts.
  • Participate in additional projects as directed by the Director of Housekeeping.


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or relevant experience in hospitality preferred.
  • Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
  • Familiarity with chemical labels and safety procedures.
  • Bilingual skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of floor care equipment is beneficial.
  • Physical capability to lift and move objects as required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a focus on guest service.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Trustworthy and reliable in all aspects of the role.
