Key Responsibilities- Pre-Operative and Post-Operative Care: Prepare pre and post-operative areas, sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies, and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained. Keep an accurate record of all drugs on hand. Order and maintain an accurate inventory.
- Patient Preparation and Assistance: Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Assist physicians and all healthcare professionals caring for patients, always giving a complete and thorough report on patient status throughout treatment and recovery.
- Patient Monitoring and Progress: Monitor patient progress and identifies any changes in status, acting on those changes to insure patient comfort and safety.
- Routine Nursing Care: Perform routine nursing care to assigned patients, while utilizing age-specific and universal precaution practices at all times.
- Patient Education and Training: Practice patient teaching/training for patients and families.
- Communication and Teamwork: Communicate with all staff, patients, and families with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Equipment Handling and Maintenance: Handle and be knowledgeable of all medical equipment utilized in the care of the patient. Must be able to use correct body mechanics to assist in transferring patients throughout their visit.
- Accurate Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Competitive Hourly Rate: From $31.94 per hour
