Role of the Health Science Advisor

In this evolved engagement model, the Health Science Advisor (HSA) will connect with HCPs using a mix of in-person, virtual, and digital methods, providing comprehensive insights about our products and the conditions they address. Our Clinical and Scientific Specialists (CSS) will offer in-depth clinical knowledge on-demand, delivering tailored education on disease states, thought leadership, and real-world evidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactive Outreach: Engage HCPs on critical topics including product access, on-label information, and established patient care guidelines.
  • Customer Engagement: Utilize various virtual and digital tools to connect with customers, ensuring their inquiries are addressed and gathering feedback on engagement quality.
  • Thought Leadership: Organize speaker programs and local provider discussions to share experiences and outcomes with regional leaders.
  • Business Planning: Provide insights to the ecosystem lead, contributing to local strategy and business goals while collaborating with the ecosystem team to refine targeting and action plans.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the designated sales territory.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in commercial life sciences or related fields, engaging with key healthcare ecosystem players.
  • 4+ years in a sales role with HCPs, ideally across multiple products and complex healthcare environments.
  • Clinical nursing or Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) experience is highly regarded.
  • Ability to navigate an evolving and ambiguous environment.
  • Proven success in coaching and mentoring peers to achieve their goals.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding financial and qualitative targets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex clinical information effectively.
  • Knowledge of operational issues related to healthcare product delivery, including reimbursement and supply chain challenges.
