About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Hematology/Nephrology team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the development of our nursing practice.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, family-centered care to patients with complex hematology and nephrology conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Assess and analyze patient data to inform care decisions, promoting excellent patient outcomes and adherence to evidence-based practices.
  • Identify and address safety concerns, ethical dilemmas, and quality improvement opportunities, working closely with unit leadership to drive positive change.
  • Develop effective partnerships with the care team, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
  • Maintain current knowledge of healthcare technology and clinical practices, embracing innovation and change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development, ensuring compliance with annual nursing competencies and mandatory education requirements.
Requirements
  • Required: At least one year of RN experience, with a strong background in pediatric hematology and nephrology.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in pediatrics or a related specialty, with a focus on hematology and nephrology.
About the Unit

Our 20-bed unit provides comprehensive care to patients with a range of conditions, including nephrotic syndrome, Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS), acute and chronic renal failure, Sickle Cell disease, anemia, and hemophilia. We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
