Job Summary:
Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Outpatient Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the delivery of safe and effective hemodialysis therapy to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and document patient responses and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on hemodialysis treatment options, and promote patient autonomy and self-care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in hemodialysis care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current appropriate state licensure.
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
- Minimum of 9 months experience as a Registered Nurse, with a minimum of 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis.

The position provides direct patient care that regularly involves heavy lifting, moving of patients, and assisting with ambulation. Equipment aids and/or coworkers may provide assistance. The employee may occasionally be required to move, with assistance, machines and equipment of up to 200 lbs., and may lift chemical and water solutions of up to 30 lbs. as high as 5 feet.
The work environment is characteristic of a healthcare facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials. Day to day work includes desk work, computer work, interaction with patients, facility/hospital staff, and physicians. May be asked to provide essential functions of this position in other locations with the same physical demands and working conditions as described above.
