Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at [School Name] in Hamlet, NC, for the upcoming school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and team members regarding student progress and therapy goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and student progress reports.

Requirements:

  • Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) issued by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA in North Carolina.
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
