Job Title: Targeting Digital Network Analyst

Job Summary:

Quantum Research International, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Targeting Digital Network Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Threat Systems Management Office, you will conduct advanced analysis on critical program information to support our mission and U.S. Army agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Network Analysis:
    • Monitor and analyze digital communications, including internet traffic, emails, and other network activities.
    • Utilize specialized software and tools to collect, process, and analyze network data.
    • Identify patterns, anomalies, and indicators of potential threats or targets within the digital network.
    • Conduct research using deep web, social network analysis, and/or cookie analysis.
  • Target Identification and Monitoring:
    • Conduct research and gather intelligence on potential targets using digital and open-source information.
    • Develop and maintain target profiles, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
    • Evaluate technical information on targets of interest and identify changes to technology, or alternate means of communication.
    • Enhance available technical information by holistically viewing targets' information with multiple intelligence and open-source resources.
    • Identify and evaluate threat critical capabilities, requirements, and vulnerabilities.
    • Monitor target activities and provide timely updates and reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Data Interpretation and Reporting:
    • Interpret complex data sets and generate actionable intelligence reports.
    • Use data modeling and automation to enhance available technical information to glean target characterization, location, and attribution.
    • Identify collection gaps and potential collection strategies
    • Collaborate with other analysts to share insights and findings.
    • Present findings and assessments to senior leadership and decision-makers.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Maintain proficiency in digital network analysis tools, techniques, and methodologies.
    • Understands layers of Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, ports protocols associated with telecommunications technologies, and internet routing
    • Stay informed about advancements in technology and digital communications.
    • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred. Network+ certification
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in digital network analysis, cybersecurity, intelligence analysis, or related fields.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in network protocols, digital forensics, and cybersecurity tools.
    • Experience with digital network analysis software and techniques.
    • Strong understanding of internet architecture, network security, and digital communication methods.
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data sets.
    • Ability to identify patterns and draw meaningful conclusions from data.
  • Clearance:
    • Active TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Target Digital Network Analyst (TDNA) or Digital Network Exploitation Analyst (DNEA) training from accredited NSA or CYBERCOM schoolhouses.
  • IAT Level 2 and Two Penetration Testing Certifications (e.g., GPEN, GWAT, GCIH, CEH, GPYC, LPT, CPT)
  • Experience with adversary emulation, cyber protection team, red team, and vulnerability exploitation.
  • Conducting vulnerability scans and recognizing vulnerabilities in security systems.
  • Experience with supply chain risk management (SCRM) analysis
  • Assessing the robustness of security systems and designs.
  • Detecting host and network-based intrusions via intrusion detection technologies (e.g., Snort).
  • Mimicking threat behaviors and the use of penetration testing tools and techniques.
  • Using network analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities. (e.g., fuzzing, Nmap, etc.).
  • Reviewing logs to identify evidence of past intrusions and conducting application vulnerability assessments.
  • Conducting ethical hacking and penetration testing following established principles and techniques.
  • Experience with active defense tools and programs
  • Experience with using Jupyter Notebook
