Job Title: Automotive Service Manager

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily one-on-one meetings with clients to identify potential service issues and provide solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize automotive repair and maintenance processes to prevent operational delays.
  • Collaborate with the service director to set departmental objectives and drive business growth.
  • Recruit, interview, and train service staff to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Maintain accurate sales and production records, adhering to upper management's guidelines.
  • Review and evaluate service sales performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Staff technical teams according to production requirements, ensuring maximum productivity.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products and changes to existing products, applying this knowledge to drive business success.
  • Manage department finances within established parameters, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Ensure proper repair-order flow and maximize productivity, adhering to dealership policies.
  • Monitor and control all warranty activity, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to dealership policies on client vehicle care and operation, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Administer payroll for service staff in cooperation with the payroll department, securing approval from the service director and general manager.
  • Enforce OSHA requirements, procedures, and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Participate in operational planning, contributing to the growth and success of the service department.
  • Maintain the facility and equipment, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Conduct weekly department meetings and attend weekly manager meetings, fostering open communication and collaboration.
Education and/or Experience:

We're looking for an individual with an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 2-4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
