About the Role

Aerotech is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer I to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. As a key member of our Precision Automation and Robotics team, you will play a critical role in designing, testing, and analyzing electro-mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead small to moderate design projects under supervision
  • Confer with senior level engineers to clarify or resolve problems
  • Interface directly with Applications Engineers and senior level engineers to define and document project scope
  • Assist upper-level engineers with development and design of precision electro-mechanical systems using solid modeling and other design tools
  • Prepare technical documentation for use by Production in manufacturing precision electro-mechanical systems
  • Troubleshoot problems in manufacturing or repair of electro-mechanical systems
  • Analyze technical documentation and results to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Zero to two years of related professional experience
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Working knowledge of at least one of the following Mechanical Engineering concepts: Machine Design, Solid Modelling, Manufacturing processes, including machining and assembly
