Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software for air compression systems using C and C++ programming languages.
  • Design, develop, and create commissioning files using Microsoft Excel.
  • Integrate VSDs (variable speed drives), motors, and controls systems to meet application requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on controls software and electrical-related designs and issues.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder due to U.S. Government laws regarding R&D.
  • Embedded C knowledge or experience required.
  • Experience working for a global manufacturer in the compressor or industrial machinery industries or similar is highly desired.
  • Basic electronics knowledge is desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and debugging tools for embedded systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Outcomes

  • Develop and display competency in understanding, troubleshooting, and resolving Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) issues within the first 60 days.
  • Develop display competency in writing efficient reliable C code for different models of air compressors within the first 90 days.
  • Display competency in successfully processing the creation and maintenance of Excel commissioning files for different models of air compressors within the first 180 days.
