We are currently in search of a Licensed Plumbing Technician to join our team.

This role involves the assembly, installation, retrofitting, and repair of piping systems, fittings, and fixtures for heating, cooling, water, and drainage systems, adhering to established industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review building plans and schematics to identify necessary work and installation sequences.
  • Examine structures to identify potential obstructions that may compromise integrity during installation.
  • Identify and mark locations for pipes and connections, as well as create passage openings in walls and floors.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to fit pipes and fittings.
  • Cut and thread pipes as needed.
  • Assemble and install valves, fittings, and pipes made from various materials including metals and plastics.
  • Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, and other methods.
  • Test pipe systems for leaks by filling with water or air and monitoring pressure gauges.
  • Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and water heaters.
  • Maintain plumbing systems by replacing worn washers, repairing burst pipes, and clearing clogged drains.
  • Weld fixtures to structural components as required.
  • Handle challenging customer interactions with effective communication skills.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are required:

  • A minimum of three years of experience as a licensed plumber, focusing on service calls, repairs, and renovations.
  • Experience in the commercial plumbing sector is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with boilers, pumps, and building mechanical systems is a plus.

Language Proficiency:

  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to write basic correspondence.
  • Capable of effectively presenting information in small group settings.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Proficient in basic arithmetic operations and measurements.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret graphical data.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Journeyman Plumbing License.
