Position Overview

As our distribution operations flourish, we are seeking a Facilities Operations Manager for our distribution center. This leadership role is crucial for overseeing and guiding the workflow of preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure alignment with Lakeshore's operational objectives and facility reliability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and motivating the Facilities Maintenance team by promoting core values and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Setting performance goals and measurement standards to proactively manage team effectiveness.
  • Documenting all distribution assets accurately, including property information, operating procedures, and emergency manuals.
  • Coordinating maintenance schedules to minimize disruptions and collaborating with management for seamless operations.
  • Reviewing and enhancing maintenance cycles to optimize efficiency and response times.
  • Conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Partnering with the Health, Safety, and Security Manager to uphold safety training programs and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitoring all maintenance activities to ensure adherence to established policies and standards.
  • Assisting in the development and training of less-experienced staff to elevate team capabilities.
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A background in distribution center operations.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 7 years of technical operations experience, with at least 5 years in facilities management within a distribution context.
  • Advanced knowledge of operational excellence systems.
  • Technical training or certification in HVAC and/or Operating Engineering Technologies.
  • Experience with automated systems and equipment, including material handling systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
