Job Summary:
Dewberry is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor in Training to join our Land Surveying department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the preparation of accurate and complete work products, performing quality control reviews of design plans, and performing complex technical survey design tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist multiple project managers with all aspects of project management, including proposal preparation and contract administration.
- Provide guidance and direction to office staff and field crew(s), ensuring that all deliverables are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with project managers, office & field coordinators to ensure daily workload, schedules, and project needs are met.
- Evaluate policy & procedures to ensure all deliverables are done accurately and using the most efficient method.
- Work closely with the survey department manager to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage and coordinate projects with multiple team members, including other offices and business units.
- Assist with managing project budgets and financials, including consulting with clients and maintaining monthly project invoicing.
- Coordinate vehicle requirements, needs, and maintenance with logistics.
- Monitor corporate safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Must be a licensed Land Surveyor in Training or Land Surveyor.
- College degree preferred.
- Must have a High School Diploma.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
- Must be proficient with all aspects of computing, drafting procedures, and CAD standards.
- Proficient with the preparation and quality review of easements, right-of-way plats, and legal descriptions.
- Proficient with Civil3D, Carlson Survey, Carlson SurvCE, and Trimble Access and Business Center software.
- Experience with MD SHA surveys, laser scanning, and 3D survey drawings is a plus.
- Must have a valid drivers license, good driving record, and ability to pass a driving record background check.
