Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Battery Systems Engineer to lead the development of a battery system for our humanoid robot, NEO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying a cutting-edge battery system that meets the high standards of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of a battery system, including design, architecture, and testing
  • Develop and support verification, validation, and integration strategies for the battery system
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including controls and hardware teams, to ensure the battery system is developed optimally for NEO
  • Coordinate with external and internal suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the batteries are built to specification
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures for batteries
  • Experience in circuit design for rechargeable lithium-ion battery-powered devices
  • Experience with testing, qualification, and certification of battery packs
  • Experience leading the design, build, and deployment of battery products
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in cooling system design and management
  • Experience in CAD mechanical design
  • Experience in PCB design
  • Experience with busbar design and joining (spot welding, laser welding, wire bonding, etc.)
