Job Summary:

The City of Minnetonka, MN is seeking a qualified Fitness Instructor to lead group exercise classes at the Williston Center. As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching safe and effective group fitness classes, including muscle conditioning, cardio, water fitness, and other group fitness classes. You will assist participants in reaching their goals while leading them in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach group fitness classes to participants of various fitness levels
  • Assist participants with proper use of equipment and techniques
  • Communicate with Fitness Coordinator and other staff members as needed
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry standards and best practices
Requirements:
  • Certification in group fitness instruction (e.g. Les Mills, NETA, AFAA, ACE, ACSM)
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Ability to perform physical aspects of the position (e.g. walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 lbs)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of experience teaching group fitness classes
  • First aid certification
