POSITION SUMMARY
The Construction Project Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of a construction project from inception to completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulates a timeline and a cost-efficient strategy for the successful completion of the assigned project.
- Organizes and schedules the activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, effectively communicating through the project foreperson to relay instructions and project tasks as necessary.
- Conducts regular inspections to ensure quality and adherence to timelines; prepares and submits progress reports to stakeholders; suggests modifications as needed.
- Performs additional related tasks as required.
CORE EXPECTATIONS
- Collaborates with architects, engineers, and other relevant parties to ensure compliance with specifications, zoning laws, and other regulations.
- Ensures adherence to specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering documents.
- Monitors the project budget and communicates any discrepancies as they arise.
- Keeps accurate records of costs and inventory.
- Takes action to address any safety violations or deficiencies.
BEHAVIORAL QUALITIES
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Exhibits the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Displays strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of four years of experience in the building trade is required.
SYSTEM QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Procore is preferred but not mandatory.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in various weather conditions.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds as needed.
