Epic Travel Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN specializing in Med Surg for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.
Position Overview- Specialty: Med Surg
- Discipline: RN
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Work Schedule: 48 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Employment Type: Travel
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Med Surg setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in team nursing models, working alongside RNs, LPNs, and PCTs.
Requirements:
- Valid Ohio nursing license.
- Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a level 1 or 2 facility preferred.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records is mandatory.
- Current BLS certification.
- NIHSS certification is required.
- Prior travel nursing experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic documentation is advantageous.
- Experience in a teaching hospital is a plus.
Additional Information:
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the contracted facility may apply.
- Targeted patient ratios are 1:5-6.
- Overtime is compensated after 48 hours for 48-hour contracts.
- Must complete an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to assignment.
- Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed.
Unit Details:
This position is within a 43-bed Med Surg unit focusing on post-operative care, including stable cardiac telemetry patients.
