EHS Specialist Job Description

Integral Staffing is seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate current EHS programs and activities to ensure compliance with government agency and regulatory requirements.
  • Report, monitor, and correct environmental, health, and safety problems/issues.
  • Develop and promote safe work practices by creating proactive EHS systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain unique approaches to adult learning and conduct training for all employees.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of company and regulatory EHS policies, standards, guidelines, and programs.
  • Support the company's sustainability strategy to ensure site goals are achieved.
  • Administer an environmental, health, and safety audit program, including industrial hygiene.
  • Maintain a PPE program.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of EHS regulations and requirements (EPA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Knowledgeable in the technical fundamentals of safety management and risk assessments and reduction.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 EHS management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment while managing multiple assignments with strict deadlines.
  • Skilled at using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
