Housekeeper - Nightshift

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a Housekeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe work environment for our employees and partners.

• Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment, such as ride-on scrubbers and vacuum cleaners, to efficiently complete cleaning tasks.
• Sanitize sinks, basins, showers, and toilets in common area restrooms to maintain a high level of hygiene.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables from bins and containers across the lab.
• Keep all public spaces neat and tidy, reporting any repairs or replacements needed during your shift.
• Maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products, ensuring safe and sanitary storage.
• Perform vacuuming, carpet cleaning, and maintenance of carpet equipment.

• High school diploma or equivalent training and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years cleaning experience; additional training will be provided.
• Ability to lift up to 25-30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Organized and able to build an independent cleaning schedule.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions in English.
• Customer service experience.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work Night Shift (8:00 PM - 4:30 AM) Sunday through Thursday and/or a flexible schedule.

• Minimum 2 years experience on motorized cleaning equipment.
