Job Summary
Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and skilled Medication Nursing Assistant (MNA) to join our team at NASHUA CROSSINGS. As an MNA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents in a warm and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with the Director of Nursing regarding medication administration and assistance.
- Document medication administration and assistance on the Medication Observation Record (MOR).
- Responsible for documenting PRN meds and their effects, as permitted by state regulations.
- Verify that medications have been administered, treatments completed, and all necessary initials are complete, in accordance with state regulations.
Requirements
- Must complete a state-approved training course in medication administration and obtain a certificate of satisfactory completion.
- Must retain a valid NH license, as required by state regulation.
- Must attend the Benchmark Medication Aide training program.
- Must demonstrate competency in medication administration and assistance, in accordance with state-approved protocols.
- Must successfully complete the Medication Aide competency review, supervised by the RCD/RCN.
- Must have current certification as a nursing assistant or have completed the certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program.
- High school education preferred.
- CPR certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
- Physically able to move at least 50 pounds without assistance.
