Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and equipment, and will work closely with our production and quality teams to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on production equipment and machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and repairing as needed.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the maintenance team.
  • Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest maintenance techniques and technologies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational diploma or technical degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to read and execute work orders, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, or scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds utilizing the buddy system or specifically designed lifting devices. Specific vision includes close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
