Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Distinguished Cloud Architect to lead the definition, design, and implementation of advanced cloud services for our Cloud Business Unit. This role will require collaboration with technical leaders and software engineers to drive innovation and engineering excellence.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building fault-tolerant and high-scale distributed architectures on major cloud providers, as well as expertise in cloud-native application or services operations, data management, migration, and security.

This is a technical leadership role that requires strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers, stakeholders, and the engineering community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and building modern CD/CI infrastructure, designing modern cloud-native QA frameworks, and assisting in the career development of other senior and principal engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition, design, and implementation of advanced cloud services
  • Collaborate with technical leaders and software engineers to drive innovation and engineering excellence
  • Architect and build modern CD/CI infrastructure
  • Design and build modern cloud-native QA frameworks
  • Assist in the career development of other senior and principal engineers

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience as a senior Principal Engineer leading multiple software engineering teams
  • Expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices
  • Expertise in designing and building large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment
  • Extensive experience building fault-tolerant and high-scale distributed architectures on major cloud providers
  • Extensive experience of cloud-native application or services operations, data management, migration, and security

Preferred qualifications include experience with storage technologies such as RAID, Volumes, Replication solutions, and proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Typescript, Python, or Ruby.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience.

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $294,200 - $413,600 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education.
