Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Physician to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As an Orthopedic Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting outpatient orthopedic care, and managing the delivery of state-of-the-art local outpatient orthopedic care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient orthopedic care to all scheduled and limited walk-in patients, including invasive and non-invasive procedures.
  • Manage the most effective delivery of state-of-the-art local outpatient orthopedic care, including consult/referral review, triage, and forwarding/initiating of referrals/consults as clinically indicated.
  • Participate in all aspects of outpatient care, including consult/referral review, triage, and forwarding/initiating of referrals/consults as clinically indicated.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have a degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Must have a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
