Job Summary
As a Senior Financial Strategist at Knuckleball Consulting, you will be responsible for leading the financial management and reporting for our clients. This includes budgeting, general ledger and property accounting, accounts payable and receivables, benefits administration, and audit management.

About the Role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the leadership team and reports directly to the head of school. You will work closely with the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees and supervise a team of finance professionals. Your primary goal is to provide financial guidance and support to ensure the success of the school.

Main Responsibilities
- Build an annual operating budget in collaboration with the head of school and administrative team.
- Manage benefits administration, including the 403 B plan and self-insured health insurance program.
- Oversee monthly general ledger and property control accounting, as well as student billing and tuition collection.
- Supervise the staff accountant, director of security and operations, director of technology, and director of auxiliary programs.
- Lead annual audit preparation and attend weekly staff meetings and designated leadership team meetings.
- Provide strategic counsel and lead monthly finance committee meetings, ensuring effective financial decision-making.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in a financial management role in an independent school, corporate, or non-profit setting.
- Proven ability to perform in a collaborative, team-based environment and excellent supervisory and team leadership skills.
- Experience with Veracross, Paycor, or financial reporting and payroll systems.
