Operating Room Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, a member of the Mass General Brigham system.
As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
You will direct and coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards and collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional pre- and post-operative nursing care to patients and their families in the inpatient care setting.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to address them.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
- BLS certification required.
- Previous inpatient surgical nursing experience strongly preferred.
- EPIC knowledge preferred.
- Strong patient-centered approach with emphasis on providing exemplary customer service required.
- Demonstrated excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills required.
- Meticulous attention to detail required.
- Self-motivated and proactive; a team player who knows how to think critically in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
