Job Summary:

As a CT Technologist at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images for medical diagnosis. You will utilize computerized tomography (CT) scanners to capture cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret physician scanning instructions and administer contrast materials as needed
  • Prepare and operate CT scan equipment, positioning patients to capture accurate images
  • Provide basic patient care and submit accurate and timely imaging, patient history documentation, and case charges
  • Support department initiatives related to patient and employee satisfaction
  • Perform technical procedures requiring independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis
  • Stay current with skills and continuing education, including attending department meetings and learning from radiologists
  • Perform quality assurance audits and activities, as well as incidental office duties, to ensure timely and complete patient records and a highly functioning department and team
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, including coursework in cross-sectional anatomy
  • One year of work experience as a CT Technologist is preferred
  • American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) certification required
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification required
  • State of Washington Registration as a Radiologic Technologist
  • CT Registration is preferred
