Job Title: Trauma Care Physician

  • Become a vital member of a specialized surgical group focusing on Trauma, Colorectal, Surgical Critical Care, and Burn management.
  • Candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified, with a valid ATLS certification. We welcome applications from both recent graduates and experienced professionals. Preference will be given to those with fellowship training in Surgery or Critical Care, and a strong interest in trauma management is crucial.
  • Anticipate handling trauma calls approximately 6-8 times with 24-hour in-house shifts each month.
  • As a Physician within the OSF Surgical Group, you will benefit from a robust referral network supported by OSF Medical Group Primary Care and Specialty Care physicians, as well as a well-established regional referral base.
  • Work within a recognized Regional Medical Center known for its commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care, equipped with advanced surgical technology, including daVinci surgical robots and a hybrid surgical suite.
Qualifications Required:

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Doctorate in Medicine with appropriate Licenses/Certifications: Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state.
  • Board certification or eligibility in the relevant specialty is required. Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and necessary privileges.
  • Eligibility as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs is necessary.
  • Must meet all prerequisites to engage in professional malpractice and liability coverage programs.
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the state to prescribe controlled substances, if applicable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrates proficiency in the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that aligns with the preferences and needs of the patient population served.
