Job Description:

The Electrical Design Engineer will be a key member of the BBP EE teams, responsible for bringing designs from concept to production. This role involves all phases of mixed signal printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) design, from specification development to testing prototype hardware and releasing designs to production.

Responsibilities:
• Design high-performance mixed-signal PCBs from concept to production release.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to bring up the board.
• Debug and diagnose board-related issues on the system, helping MFG or field engineers identify the root cause of system failures.
• Write technical documentation that meets the defined quality standards for manufacturing/service teams as required.

Qualifications:
• Proficiency in analog/digital circuit design process, including schematic, layout, board bring-up, and release.
• Experience with electrical interface design, such as FPGA, ARM, DDR, AD/DA, PCIe, Fiber Optics, SPI, etc.
• Strong hardware debug and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with board design tools, such as Orcad Capture, Allegro, etc.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment, like logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Understanding of high-speed PCB design rules.
• Experience with embedded or FPGA firmware design is a plus.
