JRI Inc is a leading organization in the field of social justice, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Counselor Intern to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and empathetic individual to provide community-based services to adolescents and transitional age youth who are struggling at home, in school, and/or in the community due to substance use disorders or at-risk behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a variety of community-based services to children, adolescents, and their families, including skill coaching, job coaching, life skills training, activity planning, community exploration and integration, behavior management, assessment, treatment planning services, crisis management, and case management services.
  • Maintain positive relationships with outside agencies, families, and other involved parties.
  • Work as an integral member of a client's treatment team and be responsible for all documentation as required by policy and procedure.

Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must also have an acceptable CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information), national background check, and appropriate driving record.
  • Maintains valid driver's license and access to a working, registered, insured vehicle.
Location

Home office located in Taunton, MA, with the horse farm located in Marshfield.
