Job Summary:We are seeking a Registered Nurse - PRN with a Public Trust clearance to support our government customer in Glynco, GA. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in occupational health or a related field, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care within the scope of services defined by Koniag Government Services for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Health Unit.
- Perform components of physical exams, including vital signs, audiometry, vision testing, ECG, spirometry, phlebotomy, and TB skin testing.
- Document all clinical data on required forms and provide immunizations according to KGS policies and SOPs.
- Respond to emergency calls and render emergency services as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient status and patient care activities.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Comply with federal and state privacy laws and respect patient confidentiality.
- Graduation from an NLN-accredited school of nursing (AD or BSN).
- Active RN licensure in the state for which you are hired, with a compact license preferred (NLC).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) training and current certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) certifications preferred.
This position operates in a professional office environment with a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations, and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
