Role Summary:

The Security Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing security activities and personnel during assigned shifts. This role involves active supervision, patrolling, surveillance, and intervention to ensure the safety of all individuals within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in administrative functions of the security department, including:
- Proposing updates to policies and procedures,
- Evaluating new security products and services,
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards,
- Managing attendance and timekeeping records.

2. Supervise and mentor security staff, including:
- Conducting orientation and training for new employees,
- Facilitating ongoing education opportunities,
- Creating and adjusting work schedules as needed,
- Addressing performance issues and providing feedback.

3. Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify and address safety concerns.

4. Respond to various calls for assistance, including:
- Assisting patients with mobility,
- Managing situations involving disruptive individuals,
- Providing escorts and unlocking doors,
- Addressing theft or vandalism reports.

5. Transport patients and documents as required, ensuring safe and timely delivery.

6. Maintain accurate records of incidents and activities.

7. Acquire knowledge relevant to age-specific service requirements.

8. Engage in professional development and training opportunities.

9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited Basic Law Enforcement Training program
- Supervisory and advanced law enforcement training preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License
- Commissioned law enforcement officer in North Carolina
- CPI Certification (to be obtained within 90 days of hire)
- BCLS Certification (to be obtained within 90 days of hire).

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in security operations or surveillance.

Additional Information:

This position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week, with evening shifts. The role is onsite and is not exempt from overtime.
