Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our MICU team at Community Health System. As a MICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence within our unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate assigned patients and develop comprehensive care plans to address their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and make informed decisions about treatment.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health literacy and self-care skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit performance.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing and current RN licensure in the state of Alabama.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a MICU or critical care setting.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
