Job Summary

As a Barista Specialist at Boyd Gaming, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and snacks in a timely and professional manner. Your goal will be to maintain a fun, fresh, and clean atmosphere for our guests at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and take food and beverage orders from guests in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with established service standards, ensuring a high level of quality and presentation.
  • Operate a cash register, complete cash and credit transactions, and maintain an accurate bank at all times.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the coffee bar areas, adhering to health and safety standards.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Barista is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • One year of general food service industry experience is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • Ability to operate a POS cash register and maintain an accurate bank.
  • Knowledge of coffee, tea, and beverage preparation methods is required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and maneuver 100 pounds.
  • Additional physical demands include reaching, grasping, and bending at the waist and knees.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
