Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at St. Mary's Health System in Lewiston, ME. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs and goals
  • Provide evidence-based interventions and therapies to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field
  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Maine
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a high-stress environment and prioritize multiple tasks. The Speech Language Pathologist will be exposed to disease, illness, infections, strains, and physical injury. The ability to speak, read, write, and understand written instructions in English is required.
